This course will detail the Job Performance Requirements for Fire Instructor III. This course will review the following key concepts: knowledge and ability to develop comprehensive training curricula and programs to be used by single or multiple organizations; conduct facility and organization needs analysis; design and manage record keeping and scheduling systems; and develop schedules, training goals, and implementation strategies.
This course will also engage familiarity with the FCDICE (the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training’s electronic data system) with emphasis on maintaining
individual profiles; maintaining provider profiles; responsibilities of providers; responsibilities of students; course approval process; instructor approval process; class offering approval process; roster entry / requirements; course equivalency; instructor ethics and post course requirements.

How long is the duration of the course?
From the moment you enroll into this course, you will be allotted 60 days to complete the entire course. Feel free to work at your own pace to finish the course, so long as you meet the 60-day deadline and have a final grade of 70%. Here at FFTI, we understand that extenuating circumstances may arise and leniency may be granted depending on the nature of the circumstances that the student is faced with. You must notify the instructor prior to the end of your 60 days in order to qualify for an extension to complete the course. This is by no means a guarantee that an extension or exception will be made.
Do you require any portion of this course to be completed in person?
No, this course along with many other courses at FFTI are solely online. Should any questions arise throughout your learning experience, do not hesitate to reach out to the instructors at: instructor@myfireclass.com
Upon completion of the course, will FFTI issue a certificate of completion?
Yes, once you finish the course you will be able to download your certificate to your computer, which will then allow you to print the certificate for your records. In addition to receiving your certificate of completion, your instructor will also update your course completion into FCDICE through the Florida State Fire College.
Will this course count towards Continuing Education Units (CEUs)? If so, how many CEU’s will I obtain?
This course will apply 24 CEUs towards your Fire Instructor I, II, and III renewal.
Why are some of your textbooks different than some of the other institutions' required textbooks?
At Frontline Fire Training Institute, we make every attempt to align our textbook selection with that of the Florida State Fire College. However, through our curriculum development and materials vetting process, we have found that our selected textbooks offer the students a more streamlined path through the required course curriculum than do others. We want to ensure that our students are thoroughly prepared for the coursework, and we have aligned our textbooks to complement our teaching methodology and enhance the student learning experience in the online learning environment. Training institutions are able to select the textbooks of their choice, and are not required to match those used by the Fire College.
